Oh goodness… Becky bought the wrong type of dumpling wrappers at the grocery store. This isn’t the first time I accidentally got the wrong ingredients for a dish but sometimes mistakes turn out to be a new discovery!
I noticed that I bought wonton wrappers instead of the thicker dumpling wrappers when I was steaming the potstickers in the pan. The wrapping looked much thinner than I remembered and they were filled with air bubbles! “Well f***” was basically what I said haha! I was freaking out because I thought I just wasted like 30 potstickers. I thought they were too thin to hold themselves together and would just fall apart while I tried to scrap them off the pan. BUT they didn’t! You do have to be a little more careful with these babies but they held up perfectly fine in my opinion. And they tasted just as good (maybe even better) than if you wrapped them with regular dumpling wrappers.
I’m glad my mistakes can be everyone else’s tasty success :)
