AVOCADO ROSE WITH POACHED EGG
My first official blog post! I’m still trying to figure out my schedule for posting. I really want to aim for at least one blog post a week but I’m so excited to begin this food blog!
Today’s lunch consisted of a piece of multi-grain toast with an avocado sliced and formed into a rose shape with a poached egg on the side. I also added in some spinach mostly for presentation because it reminded me of leaves on an actual rose. And it just made it look way more “professional” with it haha!
I usually go back to my apartment after classes and make lunch for myself. The weather was beautiful out that day so I decided to take some photos of what I made. I learned how to make an avocado rose over the summer through multiple tutorials on YouTube.
My lovely roommate Angelika is a talented photographer who has been teaching me how to properly take and edit photos since I have little experience but I’ll get better! I’ve dabbled in photo editing software in high school but I always gravitated towards Illustrator since I liked designing websites and ads. Hopefully all the photographs of the food and people will flow well as my blog grows. But stay tuned for more!
